This small, man-made fishery was transformed from a wet patch in a field. However, it is not without charm and a certain picturesque quality. Sheltered on almost all sides by either wooded slopes or hills, it should make a good location for a blustery day. The deepest water is the north east corner, and generally along the east shore, under the trees. |
The loch gradually slopes back towards the west shore, and there is a tell-tale trench of deep water along this side, which gives a precise length and reach of an excavator's extended arm. If booked in advance, the owners offer tuition and discounts for club outings. They will also allow beginners their first outing free-of-charge. |
